Reminder of the Week

OUR MISSION

The Muslim Wholehearted Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides affordable, Islamic-focused mental health counseling and rehabilitation services. We also host virtual and in-person community events, workshops, and seminars, all centered around a singular purpose: living Islam wholeheartedly.

As Allah says: ‘O you who believe! Enter into Islam Wholeheartedly and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitaan, for he is to you an open enemy.’ {2:208}
This verse deeply inspires our mission, as we strive to embody and encourage living Islam wholeheartedly in all aspects of life.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajee’oon.Our beloved Brother Musa has returned to Allah.For decades, his bookstore As-Suq, located in downtown Brooklyn, was a staple in our community. As a Black American Muslim pioneer, Brother Musa helped build and nurture a space where so many of us came seeking books, knowledge, guidance, and connection. For many, it was more than a bookstore—it was a place that helped cultivate faith, learning, and community for generations.This loss feels especially close to our family. My mother had the honor of delivering many of Brother Musa’s children as their midwife. And subhanAllah, many of the books I inherited from my mother’s personal collection were purchased from As-Suq.It is a reminder of how deeply intertwined our community has been for decades.May Allah reward Brother Musa abundantly for the family he raised, the knowledge he helped spread, and the countless lives touched through As-Suq. May all of it be a sadaqah jariyah for him.May Allah forgive him, expand his grave, fill it with light, elevate his rank, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.May Allah grant patience and ease to his family and all who loved him.Janazah details will be announced by his family soon, inshaAllah.#InnaLillahiWaInnaIlayhiRajeeoon#MuslimAmericanPioneer#SadaqahJariyah#BrooklynMuslimCommunity#legacyofknowledge ... May this Ramadan soften what feels heavy, strengthen what feels fragile, and draw you closer to Him in ways that transform you.May Allah grant us a Ramadan maqbool (a truly accepted Ramadan), forgive our shortcomings, and allow us to leave this month changed for the better.So grateful to be walking this journey with you through MWI. 🤍With love,The MWI Team#RamadanMubarak #Ramadan2026 #RamadanMaqbool #AcceptedRamadan #MWI MuslimWomen SistersInFaith Ummah QuranJourney SpiritualGrowth Barakah FaithRenewal MuslimSisters IslamicReminder RamadanVibes ...
